Cheney people helping Cheney people
Times are rough right now. Cheney Mutual Aid Network is a directory of people, groups, and organizations who can help out at a local level. These services are free or mostly free – all we ask is that you contribute something of your own skills or time in return.

A variety of needs
We look for all the helpers! If you’ve checked our directory already and need assistance with something that’s not listed, contact us and we’ll try to connect you with someone who can help out!
Cleaning and Family Stuff
House cleaning, childcare, yard work, laundry, vehicle detailing, clothing repair, house painting, pantry organization, sink unclogging, Konmarie – you name it, somebody’s good at it.
Access to Necessities
Grocery delivery/shopping assistance, transportation/carpooling, haircuts, gardening, food pantries, tap water testing/filtering, help with frozen pipes, composting, social support groups, book clubs, farm-or-backyard-fresh animal products or produce. Living in your car and need a parking spot or a heater? Check in this tab!
Education and Tech Help
Translation/interpretation help, tutoring, internet access, GED practice, computer repair, navigating college admissions, digital wellbeing, internet safety, going back to school, website building, etc. Someone is going to have the expertise you need here.
Financial Struggles
Anxious about bookkeeping, taxes, job applications or interviews, budgeting, endless phone trees, unemployment claims, overwhelming bills, saving, investing, or debt? Believe it or not, some people love helping with this stuff!
Labor-Intensive Tasks
Moving, snow-shoveling, wood chopping, stump removal, heavy loads that need to go to the dump. Planning a public event? Need to borrow a truck? Feral cat needs to be fed or fixed? Maybe someone here can help!
Health and Healthcare
Do you need help navigating an insurance claim? Maybe you need a doctor’s appointment but don’t have a ride. If you need help with things like seeing a therapist, addiction recovery, in-home assistance, or navigating a world not built for disabilities, check here.
A community of compassion
We need your help! Mutual aid goes both ways – if you are willing to volunteer your time and expertise to boost your community, sign up here! We need as many helpers as possible so that no one is doing the work alone.
